Welcome to the gallery page. Buying an original painting is a very personal experience. Mostly there’s a connection between the picture and the buyer, the resonance of a past experience or emotion.

My paintings are all made on location, alla prima or plein air. I work in oil paints. The manner in which I paint is real or impressionist, a traditional approach. I paint what I see. The brushwork is visible, with areas of both very thin and thick paint, expressing form, shape and texture. Handmade paintings have a signature, a style – one can recognise them without a signature because of the way they have been made. This takes years to develop unconsciously and changes over time.

Only the most recent paintings are posted here (this will change and be updated regularly). All works are original oil paintings, made in Italy with professional artist’s materials. Prices include delivery to most countries worldwide. Pictures are sold unframed.
